原著中並沒有註明縮小藥水的顏色，「愛麗絲漫遊水曜日」販售三種顏色，分別為透明、櫻桃藍和櫻桃紅，不過維多利亞時代的藥水瓶是使用軟木塞封口（見《挖開兔子洞》第一章掉下兔子洞的第十四條注釋）。
